J Lifeguard Training

Register for our American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor classes now and be certified by summer! Once certified, you are eligible to apply for J Lifeguard and Swim Instructor positions. Must be 15 years or older to participate. If you have a child that is between the ages of 11 and 15 please consider our Jr. Lifeguard training.

Jr. Lifeguard Training (Ages 11-15)

Our experienced and professional staff are proud to offer a Red Cross Certified Jr. Lifeguard Training program at The J in a safe and secure environment. This program runs for two months, with a total of 32 hours of training. Your child(ren) will shadow and train under a current J lifeguard instructor in this program. The registration fee of $100 includes a T-Shirt, whistle, fanny pack, and CPR mask. The training schedule includes 2 hours during the week and 2 hours over the weekend to a total of 4 hours each week for 8 weeks. Dates and times will be available pending interests.
