Overview

Beginning Canasta

Learn the game of Modern American Canasta. This class is an introduction to the game where you will learn the skills needed to understand strategies, rules, and scoring in an informative, fun, hands-on environment. Taught by Sherry Leonescu.

4-week session

Intermediate Canasta

If you want to stay sharp and fine tune your canasta game, join instructor Sherry Leonescu for intermediate canasta. Learn new strategies and special hands (splashes). Have the edge on other players who are not aware of the nuances of different strategies. If you’ve been playing on a regular basis, you’re ready for the next step! It’s a lot of fun

As a new transplant to the Phoenix area and specifically The J, the first thing I did was sign up for Mah Jongg lessons. Hoping to learn the game and meet people, little did I know that during a pandemic I would find a group of women that have become my dear circle of friends!
