Aida is a Teacher at the ECC. In this role, she builds a bond with the children and their families, making sure that the little ones have a safe and welcoming environment in which to learn. She also creates lesson plans using the Emergent Curriculum and Sheva Lenses to encourage social, emotional and motor skill development. Aida has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and is a certified Substitute teacher with 12 Early Childhood Education credits and over 600 hours of continuous training. She was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She moved to the US in 1997 after the Bosnian Civil War, and she became a US citizen in 2002. She is married with one adult son, and in her free time, she enjoys shopping, gardening, walking her dog and watching true story movies and documentaries.
