Parkinson's Tai Chi

Overview
This mind/body class will give people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a new tool for coping with symptoms as they arise. Utilizing both seated and standing exercises, gentle yoga-like stretches, and stability and agility-enhancing tai chi movements, this class will help participants develop an “artful” way of moving that is graceful, mindful and complete. Open to all people with Parkinson’s with the following requirements: participants must be able to walk 150 feet on their own with or without a cane or walker and be able to cognitively follow instructions independently.
