COVID-19 & Facility Updates Messages from the CEO Archive

October 16, 2020 | Your Health and Safety Remain Our Top Priority!

Dear Members,

The health and safety of all that use the Martin Pear JCC on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus remain our top priority. As such, we are immediately communicating an important update. We received confirmation that a J fitness staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.

There are a few important notes related to this message. First, this individual exhibited mild symptoms. Second, this individual has not been in the building since Monday, October 12, and had minimal interaction with members and staff that day. We are in the process of notifying the people this individual had direct contact with and will finish this process today. Third, this individual, as well as those with direct contact, will be quarantined from The J for 14 days from today. Fourth, since reopening several months ago, we have been disinfecting all high-touch areas on an ongoing basis in addition to using the Protexus sprayer, which is the latest technology to counteract the Coronavirus and safely kill germs. The sprayer has been used in the fitness area multiple times today and will be used again this evening. Lastly, we continue to follow all necessary guidelines from local and national health organizations.

As we move forward, we remain in direct contact with the Maricopa County Health Department as well as our own J medical taskforce to guide any needed responses during this time. Please remain focused on the health and wellbeing of yourself and your family. As a reminder, in order to reduce the risk and spread of the Coronavirus and other infectious diseases, it is recommended that you take the following actions to maintain good sanitary conditions:

  1. Wash hands frequently.
  2. If you experience symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, fever, headache, chills, etc.) please consult your physician.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly on my cell: 480.527.5388 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

October 13, 2020 | Programs You Can Really Fall For at The J!

Dear Members,

With a record-breaking number of days hotter than 100 degrees this year, it appears that temperatures are finally starting to break. Fall might just be around the corner! If you didn’t make it to The J during the summer, we would love to have you come check things out. With staff sanitizing around the clock, plexiglass in between every piece of cardio equipment, touchless water and sanitizer dispensers, temperature checks upon entering the facility, and continued social distancing, we believe you would agree The J is welcoming and safe. If it has been a while since you last stopped in, we would love to show you around. Please remember, you can always keep up to date on our processes and procedures by checking out our Keeping Members Safe webpage.

Now, for the good stuff! We have a lot of exciting announcements today and will start with adults:

GROUP EXERCISE: With cooler temperatures and the existing mask mandate for indoor fitness, which we will continue to enforce, keep an eye out for an expanded outdoor group exercise schedule in the coming days. We will also be launching a handful of new classes that are not to be missed! Also, remember we do have some cardio pieces outside by the racquetball court for members to enjoy.

PERSONAL TRAINING: Though it may be hard to believe, Thanksgiving is not that far away. Let us help you get ahead of those dreaded holiday pounds. Our three (30-minute sessions) for $99 personal training is a great way to get started. Email Lauren Berczynski, J Fitness Director, at laurenbe@vosjcc.org, to learn more or purchase your sessions.

BOOKFEST: In partnership with a few other J’s, some terrific online Jewish Book Month programs are coming up. Visit the Bookfest webpage for information and program descriptions.

J SOCIAL HOUR IS BACK! Wednesday Social Hour is back at The J! Join us every Wednesday starting October 21 to enjoy live music and a special happy hour menu from Milk + Honey while relaxing with friends by the pool. Space is limited, and social distancing will be enforced. Contact Membership at 480.483.7121 to reserve your table today!

LOCKER ROOM RENOVATIONS: The locker rooms are really starting to take shape! We hope to have them open (within guidelines) in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for opportunities to tour the brand new space in the near future.

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE: We are holding our Fall Community Blood Drive in collaboration with the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix on Friday, November 6. If you have been looking for a way to give back to our community, this could be the way! Register today!

And, now for a couple of youth and family announcements:

BRINGING BACK KIDS CLUB: We are pleased to share that we will be bringing back our Kids Club drop-in childcare in the near future. Hours will be daily from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM when we reopen. Watch for additional information on how to reserve space and what to do when you enter the facility with your child(ren). Due to the additional sanitizing and space limitations, there will be a small fee. Packages will be available.

CLUB J, AFTERSCHOOL CARE: As kids settle into school, if you do need afterschool childcare, our Club J program is in full swing. Contact Amanda Watsky, Director of Youth Services, at amandaw@vosjcc.org for additional information or to register. Also, please note that due to current guidelines/restrictions, children from Pardes and Sonoran Sky are not allowed to walk over after school and hang out in the facility. Kids must be enrolled in a program. We appreciate your understanding.

FAMILY FUN WEEKEND – SAVE THE DATES: We look forward to welcoming families for our family fun weekend taking place on November 14 and 15. Saturday evening will be a drive-in movie featuring “SING” and Sunday afternoon will be a tailgate to watch the Cardinals and Bills football game. Watch for information on both of these programs within the week. Space will be limited, so make sure to reserve your spots early!

STRONGER TOGETHER AT THE J: We appreciate those members who helped us with collecting videos and pictures conveying what The J means and showing that we are stronger together! In the spirit of connection, I hope you have had a chance to check out our Non-Event Gala materials. Though times may be uncertain, we are not. Please see how we continue to support the community during this time.

Finally, as we begin to bring more programming back to the facility, be assured we will be adhering to all guidelines as your safety remains our top priority. We look forward to seeing you at The J. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

October 5, 2020 | October Programming and Welcoming New Team Members!

Dear Members,

Before I get into today’s update, I would like to clarify the mask policy. For The J to be permitted to reopen, we had to agree to certain requirements. Those requirements included the mandatory wearing of masks during any type of indoor fitness. The mandate does not find face shields to be an adequate replacement for masks. As such, if a face shield is worn a mask is still also required. We have heard from many of you that other facilities are allowing face shields and others are not enforcing the wearing of masks. Please understand the wearing of masks (worn properly) is the policy and we will continue to enforce it to the best of our ability. We will keep you up to date as any of the requirements are adjusted or softened. Please give me a call with any questions on this; my contact information is found at the bottom of this email.

And, now for some exciting in-building programming as well as a couple of new team member announcements!

As you are probably aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are pleased to offer some terrific community programs throughout the month. Learn more about these programs or register here.

Swim lessons are not just for summer anymore. With our heated pools, fall is a great time to take a dip! If you are interested in learning more or scheduling lessons, please reach out to Debbie Meek J Aquatics Director at debbiem@vosjcc.org.

SAVE THE DATES: A couple of great family programs are coming up in November. November 14 will be our first “Drive-In” movie and the next day, November 15 will be a Cardinal Game Tailgate. Watch for information on both of these programs in the next couple of weeks. Space will be limited, so make sure to reserve your spots early!

For those interested in trying out J personal training, we are running a 3 session for $99 offer through the end of October. If you are interested in learning more, or purchasing your sessions, please reach out to J Fitness Director, Lauren Berczynski at laurenbe@vosjcc.org.

NEW TEAM MEMBER ALERT: We are thrilled to announce a couple of new members to our team. Leah Zigmond, former Director of Camp Stein and most recently one of the key faces of Club J All Day, joins us as our Director of Early Childhood Education and Audrey Edwards, with more than 25 years’ experience at the Boston JCC, joins us as our new Chief Experience Officer. We are incredibly fortunate to have both become part of our J Family.

Lastly, our locker room Capital Campaign project is rolling along and they look great! We hope to have them open in the next 3-4 weeks. Keep an eye out for the opportunity to take a sneak peek tour in the coming weeks before they are officially reopened.

As always, thank you for being a part of our J family. We are committed to providing a facility that is comfortable and most importantly safe to be in. To that end, we have recently created the Keeping Members Safe webpage and invite you to check it out. You can also bookmark this page as all updates will be posted here as we move forward.

We look forward to seeing you at The J. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

September 18, 2020 | Best Wishes and Cool Happenings!

Dear Members,

Tonight begins the observance of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. As the holiday starts, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support. It has been amazing and is very much appreciated.

With the observance of Rosh Hashanah, please remember the facility closes today at 5:00pm and reopens Monday morning at 5:00am.

I am very excited to announce that on Tuesday, September 29, we will enter Phase 3 of our COVID reopening. This will include:

  • The return of Pickleball both indoors (masks required) and outdoors (masks optional). You will need to reserve court time and will be able to do so on the MindBody App beginning September 26.
  • We will increase lap swimming to two swimmers per lane. Reservations will still be required.
  • Guests will be permitted beginning November 1.
  • The current temperature check and cleaning protocols will remain in place.
  • The mask requirement for indoor fitness remains in place. Please remember we do have cardio equipment and some classes outdoors where masks are optional. With the weather starting to change, outdoor training is likely to be a cool option!
  • We are still at 25% capacity in each area.
  • Watch for news on pick-up basketball.

For all the cyclists out there – or those who have always wanted to give it a try, our Tour De J begins on September 20. Much like the Tour de France, this cycling challenge is divided into 4 stages, one per week, where riders are challenged to ride progressive distances between neighboring French towns and cities. Check out the specifics on our cycling page. When you are ready to register, or if you have any questions, simply contact Hannah Patrick at hannahp@vosjcc.org.

The start of the Jeff Berkowitz Youth Basketball program (PK – sixth grade) is right around the corner as well. For information contact Nick Pruden at nickp@vosjcc.org nickp@vosjcc.org or visit our youth basketball page.

Wishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year as well as a fantastic weekend! If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

September 4, 2020 | Things are heating up at The J!

Dear Members,

It should come as no surprise that I appreciate stats and numbers. To that point, here is an interesting statistic I heard regarding our very hot summer. Taking the average of the highs and lows, our temperature for August was 99.1 – the warmest August in history. While this week has been a little cooler, we are heating up at The J and around the community. See below for some updates:

  • The NFL kicks off next week, and remember here at The J, with NFL ticket, you can catch your favorite team while knocking out your workout.
  • Next Friday, September 11, our pools will be closed due to work on our locker room project. They will open as usual Saturday, September 12.
  • Jewish Family & Children’s Service is collecting non-perishable food for their “Just 3 Things” High Holiday Food Drive. The J is a drop-off site. Check out this linkand join us in helping JFCS help others.
  • Due to a lack of use, the portable showers will be removed by the middle of the month. We will be looking into adding a tankless heater for the outdoor showers.
  • The locker room renovation is moving along, and my current guesstimate is 4-6 weeks. We do appreciate your patience. Please check out our Capital Campaign Project Update section of the websiteto see our progress pictures!
  • With increasing to 25% capacity in our fitness areas, reservations are recommended for the cardio and strength areas. However, at most times, if you just decide to “pop in,” you should not have an issue. For lap swimming and group exercise, we STRONGLY recommend making a reservation.
    • We have found that using the following linkis much easier when booking your reservation in MindBody.
    • Call us at 480.481.7090.
    • Visit the membership desk in person.
  • We have received some questions on masks and working out. We have also noticed that some facilities are not enforcing masks with exercise. The current mandate is very clear that masks are required for any type of indoor fitness. We will continue to follow all mandates. Please wear your mask properly when using the facility.
  • Speaking of masks, I ran on a treadmill the other night for the first time wearing a mask (as I do most of my running outside). It did take me a little time to get myself to breathe normally while wearing the mask. Once I did, I was pleasantly surprised that the mask was not a hinderance.
  • We are approaching the final registration opportunity for our first ever The J Virtual 5K. If you haven’t yet registered, do so today!
  • Keep an eye out for some terrific virtual and in-person programming coming out, such as A Jewish Author series compliments of our friends at the Atlanta JCC, an indoor triathlon, Fall Schools Out programming, and the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge, to mention a few.
  • Remember, today is the final day to have your voice heard in our Fall J Member survey. This brief survey can be completed in 1-2 minutes and will help us better serve members as we look to increase in-building programming. The survey can be accessed here. Note – one survey response per member, please.
  • Speaking of in-building programming. Are you curious how The J is prepared to welcome you back to your favorite programs? Check out this videofrom Nicole Garber as she walks you through what to expect.
  • And, please remember our Labor Day Hours are 7 am-4 pm.

As always, thank you for your support. We will continue to communicate updates as additional information becomes available. Please keep a close eye on social media, the website, and your email for further details from us. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

August 27, 2020 | Authorized to increase capacity of indoor fitness

Dear Members,

Today, we are pleased to report progress on our phased reopening. Per the metrics set by the Arizona Department of Health Services, beginning tomorrow Friday, August 28, we are authorized to increase to 25% capacity in our indoor fitness areas. We have been at 10% since reopening indoor fitness on August 19. Below are a few items to remember when using the facility:

  • We strongly recommend making reservations for all fitness areas (lap swim, group exercise, cycle, the cardio area, the strength area, etc.). This will ensure that you have a space.
    • We have found that using this linkis much easier when booking your reservation in Mindbody.
    • Call us at 480.481.7090.
    • Visit the membership desk in person.
  • Masks (worn properly: above the nose, under the mouth) are requiredin all indoor areas of The J including group, strength, and cardio. Masks are not required while using the pool.
  • Please make every effort to distance properly and adhere to posted signs throughout the facility.
  • Temperature checks are required. Anyone with a temperature 100.0 or higher will not be permitted to enter the facility.
  • Please do not come to the facility if you are not feeling well.
  • And, please do not get upset with our staff if they remind you about wearing your mask properly and/or social distancing. They are only doing their job and working to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed all requirements for being open. Thank you.

In addition, we have several more updates on some fun and exciting programming coming to you soon!

  • Our J Virtual 5K is coming up on September 13. Training is a great way to stay/get in shape. Check out this videofor additional information and learn how to register.
  • Though the situation with in-person schooling remains fluid with local districts, we are working on our Club J after-school childcare program. For those who have a potential need for the program, watch for a survey coming your way next week.
  • The Jeff Berkowitz Youth Basketball Program will be kicking off in October. For the fall program, it will be an 8-week skills clinic with limited numbers for each age group (PreK-6 grade). Watch your mailbox for information on the program or check it out using this link. If you have any questions, give Nick Pruden (The J Sports Director) a call at 480.481.7016.
  • It was quite a different summer and what potentially got lost in the shuffle was children (and adults) learning to, or improving how they, swim. We have a great group of instructors ready to assist. If you have an interest in lessons, give Debbie Meek (The J Aquatics Director) a call at 480.481.7035.

As always, I cannot thank you enough for being a part of our J family. We truly do appreciate your ongoing support. We will continue to communicate updates as additional information becomes available. Please keep a close eye on social media, the website, and your email for further information from us. August 18, 2020 | Welcoming you back tomorrow, 8/19 at 5am

Dear Members,

We are happy to report that we have received the Department of Health Services authorization to reopen our indoor fitness bright and early tomorrow, August 19, at 5:00 am. However, please note a few important updates that come along with our ability to reopen:

  • At this time, we are reopening at 10% indoor capacity in each respective area.
  • We strongly encourage you to reserve your spot on the cardio floor or strength floor on MindBody. Spots will be available in 45-minute increments.
    • Visit our Group FitnessWeb page and follow the instructions to use the MindBody App on desktop or mobile devices.
    • Call us at 480.481.7090.
    • Visit the membership desk in person.
    • Cancellation Policy: To be courteous to your fellow members, we ask you to please inform us if you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation. If you do not cancel or reschedule, your first no-show will be a conversation. Your second no-show will be a $10 no-show charge, and any no-shows after that will have a $20 no-show charge billed to your card on file for each occurrence. Thank you.
  • This week’s Group Fitness Schedule will remain as is. The Indoor Group Exercise schedule for next week will be posted by Thursday, August 20.
  • When you arrive for your cardio/strength session, check-in at the Cardio Desk, and a J staff member will welcome you and ensure you go to the appropriate machine or piece of equipment. We recommend you show up only a few minutes before your scheduled time slot. If you come earlier, you may be asked to wait in a holding area.
  • Members must wear masks when indoors.
  • We will still have select pieces of equipment and Group Exercise classes outside:
    • Cardio: bikes, rowers, ellipticals, and AMTs located by the sports court.
    • Strength: a limited amount of “free weight” equipment located by the sports court. Weight equipment, including benches, barbells/dumbbells, TRX straps, and ropes.
    • Group exercise: located by the Amphitheatre under the sun sails for shade.
  • Please remember a temperature check is required to enter The J. Those with a temperature higher than 100.0 will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • Our pools are open to enjoy! Only families are allowed to congregate, and this regulation will be strictly enforced. Help us out by doing the “right” thing when enjoying the water.

The J team has been preparing for this day since the day we closed our indoor fitness. Thank you for your patience with us during this time. We will continue to communicate updates as additional information becomes available. Please keep a close eye on social media, the website, and your email for further information from us. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org. We hope to see you back in the facility soon!

August 14, 2020 | The J is looking forward to fall

Dear Members,

It is hard to believe, but we are on the home stretch to September. Normally we (or, at least I) would be getting excited for football. But, it doesn’t look like we will have any college games and pro football is also questionable. However, at The J, we will keep looking at what we can do and showing you how we have been able to make our members smile during this time:

  • The State has now come out with metrics that the County needs to meet in order for us to reopen indoor fitness. We are already in compliance with the requirements to reopen (in many cases we exceed the requirements) and look forward to reopening as soon as permitted. The metrics are posted every Thursday, so watch for additional information from us. Meanwhile, please remember some of the basics when using the facility:
    • Please wear a mask (we will provide one if you do not have a face covering)
    • If you are not feeling well, please do not come
    • Wash your hands
    • Maintain social distancing
    • Those with temperatures higher than 100.0 will not be allowed to enter the facility
  • While we hope to get indoor fitness reopen in the very near future, we are adding more outdoor activities. Cycle classes will begin in the amphitheater on Monday, August 24. The schedule will be posted online in the next few days. Also, look for additional outdoor small group classes and, if necessary, we will be moving more weight equipment outdoors. Watch for ongoing updates.
  • Searching for a fun virtual activity to bring the whole family together? Join us for The J Virtual 5K, a 3.1-mile run/walk/bike/hike/swim. Registration includes a four-week progressive training schedule, starting August 16, weekly Zoom check-ins with The J’s Fitness Director, Lauren Berczynski, and an event t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit The J’s, Annual Fund. This event is presented by CBS Insurance. In partnership with Arizona Center for Fertility Studies, Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, and The Core Institute. Click here to register today!
  • “Club J All Day,” our new program that provides online learning support and other activities, is a hit! We will most likely continue this program in September. Keep an eye out for details.
  • We do have limited space still available in our outstanding Early Childhood program. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Dana Staser at 480.659.7769 or earlychildhood@vosjcc.org.
  • While we cannot currently offer our Jeff Berkowitz Youth Basketball League, we can provide The Jeff Berkowitz Youth Basketball Clinic. This is an 8-week program on Sundays beginning October 4 and it will be a terrific skills program with progressions, challenges, and unique basketball activities. To ensure proper distancing we are limiting registration to 28 children per age group (7 kids per basket). Watch your mailbox or give Nick Pruden at call at 480.481.7016 for information or to register.
  • Swim lessons, swim team, J-Force – if you child likes the water, we have something for him or her. Contact Debbie Meek at 480.481.7035 to find the perfect program.

Though it is a very different time right now, we do hope you and your family are hanging in and adjusting with the ongoing changes. Through it all, one thing has remained the same. We love seeing you, our members and community, SMILE. Despite this challenging time, The J has offered a great amount of alternate classes and activities daily. The support we have received from donors, corporate partners, and community members has helped The J turn this summer around for many. Our aquatics center, Shemesh Camp at The J and Kochavim Camp, Camp in a Box, outdoor fitness classes, and J at Home have aided in these efforts and have kept many people smiling.

Due to the current Governor’s Executive order of fitness center closures, there are many unknowns for the months ahead, but what we do know to be true is that our amazing community will need the Martin Pear JCC family more than ever.

Please know we will continue to work incredibly hard to create a little normalcy among all of the fluidity. We do appreciate you being a part of our J family. Mask up, stay healthy, stay tuned for additional information, and continue to check out our virtual programming on J at Home.

If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

August 5, 2020 | Reopening indoor fitness in the near future

Dear Members,

Today’s update will be brief. However, it is an important one as we look toward reopening our indoor fitness area in the near future. You may have heard that some health clubs have announced that they will be reopening next week. While it does appear that we may have the opportunity to reopen fitness soon, to the best of my knowledge, there has yet to be any official approval to do so. Be assured that we will be prepared to open as soon as we are permitted; but, we will not reopen until approved to do so. Over the past few weeks, there have also been some updated requirements in terms of usage and we will be communicating those to you prior to reopening.

In the meantime, please continue to utilize the aquatics center, outdoor fitness area, and our virtual programming on J at Home.

As always, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support. Please know how much it is appreciated. We will continue to communicate updates as additional information becomes available. Please keep a close eye on social media, the website, and your email for further information from us. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.

July 28, 2020 | Bringing outdoor fitness to The J!

Dear Members,

As we look to welcome the month of August this weekend, today’s update is all about continuing to bring value to our members and the community. The question I always ask myself and the team is “How can we be different and provide an unparalleled member experience?” Starting tomorrow, we will be opening our outdoor fitness area for members to enjoy. See details below on this new offering, in addition to a few other updates.

  • We will continue to follow all mandates to ensure the safety of all members. With the current mandate, we are permitted to provide outdoor fitness and have been offering a limited number of group exercise classes and increased aquatics offerings such as water aerobics and aqua cycle.
  • Starting tomorrow, Wednesday July 29, there will be cardio and strength equipment ready for members outside in multiple locations throughout the facility.
  • The following equipment has been relocated:
    • Cardio: select number of cardio pieces including bikes, rowers, ellipticals, and AMTs located by the sport court.
    • Strength: limited amount of “free weight” equipment located by the sport court. Weight equipment will include benches, barbells and dumbbells, TRX straps, ropes and enough to get a basic workout in.
  • Equipment will be accessible during normal JCC hours in one-hour increments. Longer workouts are possible if there is not another member waiting for the equipment.
  • Each outdoor fitness area will have strict social distancing capacity numbers and J staff will provide continuous monitoring to ensure the safety of all members.
  • We do recommend you reserve a spot which you will be able to do after 6pm this evening. Again, equipment will be available beginning tomorrow morning. Group exercise will move to the Amphitheatre where we have added sun sails for shade.
  • To reserve space in our outdoor fitness area, please follow the same process as lap lanes and group exercise classes. Please familiarize yourself with the cancellation policy before booking your workout session.
    • Visit our Group Fitness Webpageand follow the instructions to use the Mindbody App on desktop or mobile device.
    • Call us at 480.481.7090.
    • Visit the membership desk in person.
    • Cancellation policy: In order to be courteous to your fellow members, we ask you to please inform us if you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation. If you do not cancel or reschedule, your first no-show will be a conversation. Your second no-show will be a $10 no-show charge, and any no-shows thereafter will have a $20 no-show charge billed to your card on file for each occurrence. Thank you.
  • Our standard enhanced sanitizing protocols will be followed in the outdoor fitness area as well.
  • When you arrive for your workout session, a J staff member will welcome you and ensure you go to the appropriate machine or piece of equipment.
  • Need to beat the heat? Our pools are open to enjoy! Only families are allowed to congregate and this regulation will be strictly enforced. Help us out by doing the “right” thing when enjoying the water.
  • Please remember a temperature check and mask are required to enter The J. Those with a temperature higher than 100.0 will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • We will be continuing to increase our virtual programming, so please make sure to check out our J at Home.
  • I continue to participate on virtual calls with the Governor’s office along with a significant number of other local and regional leaders in the gym and fitness industry. The health and safety of our community continues to be The J’s top priority. We have a seat at the virtual table to provide recommendations on how gyms can best reopen and have already submitted our “Official Reopening Attestation Form for Indoor Gyms and Fitness Clubs/Centers,” which will allow us to reopen as soon as we receive the green light from the Governor’s office.

Youth Updates

  • As we approach the last week of camp, I would like to thank all who attended and supported our program. It is appreciated and we do hope we met or, even better, exceeded your expectations.
  • We were able to add one more week of Shemesh Camp at The J with very limited available openings. If you are thinking of registering for next week, please do so ASAP. Please check out our websitefor all the details!
  • Next week begins our “Club J All Day” program. It is at capacity, but we are taking a wait list. If you are interested, please contact Amanda Watsky at AmandaW@vosjcc.org.
  • There are limited spaces in select age groups for the Early Childhood Center program. Please contact Brianna Moore at BriannaM@vosjcc.orgfor additional information.

As always, thank you for your support of The J and for being a part of our family. We will continue to communicate updates as additional information becomes available. Please keep a close eye on social media, the website, and your email for further information from us. If you have any questions or thoughts, please contact me at 480.481.7007 or jayj@vosjcc.org.
