Scottsdale, Ariz. (Aug. 16, 2016) — The Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus has signed an agreement to operate its café with Dany Marciano, owner and operator of Milk & Honey. The agreement is the result of a request for proposal issued earlier this summer.
Leah Pakanaev, CEO of Levi Catering, after conducting an analysis to respond to the RFP, decided to expand her business by leaving the café to focus on her growing catering operations. Levi Catering will cease their operations of the campus café on Sept. 30.
“Leah and Levi Catering have provided catering and café operations for ten years,” said Stuart Wachs, president and CEO “On behalf of our campus and the many community members served by Levi Café, we extend a big Todah Rabah – Thank You! We wish Leah much success for her new endeavor.”
Marciano will take a few months to outfit a new kosher kitchen and plans to begin operations in early November with Vaad-kosher breakfast, lunch and dinner options, as well as a variety of grab-and-go food items. Campus guests will enjoy new menu options and extended café’s hours.
Marciano will also operate the snack shack, serving The J’s new aquatics center with convenient pool-side options and provide catering for campus and community events.
The campus is developing an interim plan to provide food services while Marciano works to renovate the café. The plan will be announced upon board approval.
