Jr. Suns & Mercury Basketball League

Basketball Information

The league is in affiliation with the Phoenix Suns and the Phoenix Mercury. Youth players will participate in a structured recreational league atmosphere, developing team work and sportsmanship, coordination, skill building, respect for the game, confidence and self esteem.

1 - 2: 5 pm Tuesday | 3 - 4: 6 pm Tuesday
5 - 6: 5 pm Thursday | 7 - 8: 6 pm Thursday
Pre-K & K: Practice: 1 pm Sundays

Games:
Pre-K/K: 1:30 Sundays
1 - 2: 2 pm Sundays
3 - 4: 3 pm Sundays
5 - 6: 4 pm Sundays
7 - 8: 5:15, 6:15, 7:15 pm Sundays

Practices:
  • All practices will be held at the JCC, unless other practices are scheduled by coach and parents.
  • Practices will be held once a week and will last one hour (50 min for Pre-K & K).
  • All supplies for practice will be supplied by the JCC, if your child brings their own ball please have their name written clearly on the ball.
Attire:
  • Players are to wear basketball shorts, t-shirt/jersey and athletic shoes at all times while on the basketball court.
  • Jerseys will be given to every child before the beginning of the season.
  • Players must wear a Jr. Suns jersey when playing in the games.
  • If a player forgets their jersey we will have a basketball penny for them to wear.
Important Dates:

Coach and Team Parent Responsibility:
  • Each Team will be asked to have one parent volunteer help coordinate information within the team.
  • Coaches will run practices and games.
  • Coaches and Team Parent will get a roster and contact information.
  • Coaches will notify league Director if they can not make a practice or game so a substitute coach can fill in for that day.
