Our ProgramThe JCC Early Childhood Center offers a rich array of programs and activities. From Infant Care and Toddler Care to Preschool, we provide an abundance of resources and opportunities. Our education program is based on an integrated approach to child development. Art, music, movement, language, science and cognitive activities combine to immerse the child in an exciting, hands-on environment. Children are encouraged to think, predict and question as they explore their physical surroundings.
We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC) and licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Our facility is especially designed for the young child. Classrooms are fully wired for computers and the internet. In addition, the rest of the Jewish Community Center’s resources are used in our curriculum including the gym, art studio, sports fields and swimming pool.
We understand the challenges of work and parenting and we make a special effort to meet each parent’s needs. Morning care is available, starting at 7:00 a.m. and late care continues until 6:00 p.m. We close at 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Our intention is to always make sure the needs of our families are met.
To give our early childhood program continuity, we offer holiday camp for most of the days that public school is closed. Summer fun at the JCC begins with Camp Kochavim. These camps are planned and implemented by our professional staff.
We also offer year-round pricing for full time students. This allows participation in pre-school holiday and summer camp programs offered from June – August at the same monthly price.
An Ethical Start® Program - The JCC Early Childhood Center
The Valley of the Sun JCC Preschool is proud to participate in the national Ethical Start Program® funded by the Righteous Persons Foundation. This curriculum is designed to promote ethical values such as Mitzvot (good deeds), Tzedakah (charity) and Tikkun Olam (world improvement) using concepts discussed in Pirkei Avot and Ethics of Our Fathers. This is a program that is not only at school but families are also invited to special programs and teachings.
